The Sansevieria, also commonly known as a "snake plant" are native to Africa, Madagascar, and Southern Asia, but have become very popular as house plants. They are known for their wide popularity as house indoor house plants because of their ease of care.
Specifications:
Appearance: Tall, striped, and sword-shaped leaves with marbled pattern on leaves, similar to snakeskin. Can grow 2-4 feet tall and 1-2 feet wide.
Enjoys: The plant will grow better in bright light (indirect light near a window in your home), but it can handle a darker corner in your home with less light exposure as well.
Care: For watering, allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Bright indirect light or low light are both ok. Fertilize during the spring and summer months.
Temp: 65-85° F
Growth: Indoors, can grow up to 2-4' tall and 1-2' wide.
Level of Simplicity: Easy, great for beginners; propagation is easy by cutting the leaf and placing in water or soil.
Toxicity: Considered toxic upon ingestion (to cats, dogs, humans)
